OUR MISSION
Help Immigrants and FirstGens Take Control of Their Economic Destiny and Excel in America

Hi, I am Art —an immigrant—and for over 15 years, I was just like you: grinding away trying to find stability and upward growth in the American business jungle.
Over the last 15 years, I have learned that achieving the American dream is not easy, but it is not impossible. After countless late nights, weekends at the office, and dedicated learning, I have transitioned from grinding to thriving. While the journey was challenging and costly, it does not have to be for you. Time is our most precious resource, and life is short. That is why the Catalyst Playbook is crucial. It is a collection of lessons I wish I would known when I started, compiled by someone who believes in long-term dedication to honing our craft. I will continue to share my realizations here and with my email subscribers.
WHY LISTEN TO ME?
15+ years of Success—From Line Cook to Chef
I have honed my methods while assisting top pharmaceutical companies, Harvard University, the U.S. Department of State, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and more in achieving their goals. I view my role as that of a chef in the professional world. In the workforce of today, there are chefs and line cooks, both capable of following a recipe. When things go well, the outcome is the same, but when issues arise, the chef understands why, while the line cook often does not. I aim to be the chef throughout, leveraging years of experience, experimentation, and reflection, and my goal is to help you become a chef in your field as well.

What is the 10,000 foot view of how to take control of your economic destiny in America:

Chasing abundance in America: Lessons on thriving and controlling your destiny.
For over 10 years, I was working REALLY hard and getting frustrated that people who weren't working as hard as me were succeeding faster than me. Once I learned the things I’m sharing below, everything got easier, started to build on itself and accelerated. I hope that it will help you avoid recreating the wheel as much as possible.

1
Achieving the American dream means controlling your economic destiny.
Having a good job, a home, kids, and a dog is a byproduct of controlling your economic destiny. Many work hard but lack this control, leading to insecurity—a terrible feeling. 'A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch but on its own wings.' Like a bird trusting its wings, gain control over your economic destiny; jobs come and go, but your economic engine remains. Achieve the American Dream in three phases:
- Phase 1 → Secure a decent job for basic needs.
- Phase 2 → Influence your economic destiny.
- Phase 3 → Take full control of your economic destiny.

2
You need to create a ‘vehicle’ to take you to where you want to go.
- You will not be able to control your economic destiny simply by being an individual who works hard. You need the skill/vehicle to pull/push you through the world. The skill/vehicle is, in economic terms, more powerful than the individual.
- You can create a formal vehicle like a company, project, non-profit, etc., or you can make an informal vehicle out of a skill that you apply in different ways to propel yourself through the world.

3
Uneven rewards in America
America does not give out rewards in a linear, symmetrical manner. It disproportionately rewards those who are consistently excellent or outstanding. Rewards are given out as follows:
- Poor performance → no rewards
- Good performance → poor rewards
- Excellent performance → good rewards
- Outstanding performance → great rewards

4
If you are not consistently excellent, be prepared for pain, frustration, and an uphill slog.
Being inconsistently excellent means that you will taste the great rewards and then go through periods where you get little to nothing, but don’t understand why this is happening.

5
To be “excellent” in America means to reveal consistent superiority of performance.
To achieve excellence in America, one must consistently demonstrate superior performance. An excellent athlete outperforms competitors regularly, proving that the difference is not merely by chance but a result of consistent, superior achievements when measured against others' performances.

6
Excellence is a qualitative phenomenon.
Excellence is a qualitative phenomenon, achieved through differentiation rather than quantitative increases in activity. Qualitative improvement involves altering the character or nature of the task itself, doing things differently rather than necessarily doing more.

7
Cultivating excellence through deliberate actions.
Excellence is achieved through deliberate actions, seemingly ordinary yet performed consistently and meticulously. These actions become habitualized, compounded over time. While qualitatively different from those at lower levels, these distinctions are not unmanageable. Each step, though requiring care, contributes to a path that, taken one step at a time, is not overwhelmingly difficult.

8
People who have outlier results are doing something differently than the pack.
Outliers achieve distinct results by doing things differently than the pack. The challenge is figuring out these unique approaches, unlocking the secrets to their success.

9
Most people are held back because they don’t know that they are making the same mistake over and over.
Stagnation often stems from repeating unrecognized mistakes. Accelerate progress by identifying and learning from these patterns. Recognize that being stuck results from outdated behaviors; change the formula for a different, transformative result in navigating new life levels.

10
“They decide their habits and their habits decide their futures.”
If your habits and calendar (how you spend your time) and how you spend your resources don’t match what you are trying to achieve, you are not grinding, you are dreaming.
